IT Support

About the Role:

Scentbird is constantly growing and as a part of this growth we are looking for a Part Time IT Support who can eventually join our team on a permanent basis as we have more responsibilities for this position.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Acting as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients or other employees
  • Organizing and file documentation pertaining to warranties and instructional guides for computer hardware
  • Maintaining a working log detailing all required system updates, as well as the date of completion
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology

What You’ll Need to Have (required qualifications):

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
