Quality Control Manager
The Quality Control Manager works under the Director of Quality. The Manager will develop, manage and execute all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) at the Scentbird manufacturing facility, while maintaining customer satisfaction. This individual works collaboratively with other departments and possesses exceptional inter-personal communication and written skills. This position leads and directs the work of others in support of the implementation of QA procedures within a multifaceted manufacturing environment which includes the manufacture, packaging and fulfillment of fragrance, cosmetics and skin care products. This position reports to the Director of Quality.
Administer Quality Management Systems, including training, NCR, Deviation, CAPA systems and Change Control.
Implementation of changes to controlled documents and processes (e.g., SOPs, Forms, etc.) as needed.
Oversee and participate in the Internal Audit Program of quality systems.
Develop and execute Protocols and Summary Reports for Filling/Packaging Validations, when needed, Cleaning & Sanitization Validations, when needed and IQ/OQ/PQ for all equipment.
Oversee and participate in the Incoming Inspection Process for Bulk product and components.
Oversee and participate in the Incoming Sampling Process for Bulk product and components.
Update/maintain spreadsheet for Product Retains (Bulk & Finished Goods).
Update and maintain spreadsheet for Product Standards (Bulk & Finished Goods).
Update and maintain spreadsheet for component standards.
Maintain shelf life, including expiration dating for Bulk Product, Finished Goods, Components, Cards, Final Packaging, Labels, Kits, Retail Bottle and General Supply.
Responsible for the retrieval and management of incoming product and component Certificate Of Analysis (COA) and uploading the COA into the database.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the Quality Inspectors.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Associates Degree in Life/Health Science. Bachelor's degree Life/Health Sciences; a plus.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a Quality, Manufacturing and Product Development Organization.
Knowledge of quality management techniques and systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills possessing proven record on quality tools.
Knowledge of Quality Improvement tools.
Excellent communication skills, team members that can work collaboratively with colleagues across all functions.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize personal workload.
Business-level fluency in Spanish
Solid written/oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Safety, Quality, Productivity minded in all aspects of daily management.
Advanced computer skills - proficient with office suite/ Google equivalent applications: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
