Senior CRM Marketing Manager / Senior Email Marketing Manager

The Senior Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for strategic leadership of our customer engagement, retention and acquisition initiatives, reporting into our CMO. They will work alongside Acquisition and Retention to build world-class marketing campaigns delighted to engage, convert, retain and build client loyalty. The role requires a deep knowledge of email marketing, segmentation and analytics, as well as a real desire to build exceptional, personalized client experiences. Experience with SMS and Push Messaging is good to have, as well. As we scale our acquisition strategy, we are focusing equally on building ongoing relationships and opportunities for engagement with our customers.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Partnering with the Marketing to create an email marketing strategy focused on list growth, conversion, and retention.
  • Owning the QA and deployment of all emails, SMS messages, and push notification campaigns.
  • Overseeing the email marketing calendar for Scentbird, Goodhabit & Deck of Scarlet.
  • Submission & project management of creative briefs on JIRA for all email marketing campaigns.
  • Leading creative development and technical implementation of all transactional and triggered emails.
  • Managing daily execution of emails from creating briefs on JIRA, creative reviews, list and campaign set up in Iterable, QA, and scheduling.
  • Managing the Email Code and ensuring every email campaign is executed properly.
  • Creating and presenting email results & insights on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Creating a testing framework to optimize engagement and conversions from emails.
  • Partnering with internal tech teams to build new functionality and triggers and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Working with Marketing Analytics to conduct analyses into campaign performance
  • Acting as the point of contact for cross-functional partners on email.

What You’ll Need to Have:

  • 4+ years proven experience in hands-on management of successful email marketing with B2C e-Commerce & subscription businesses
  • Email reporting experience; knowledge of email metrics and ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with project management (experience with JIRA is a plus).
  • The ability to multitask and work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and complete responsibilities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
